Overview
A warm welcome awaits you at Bikers Retreat, Trem Hyfryd Guest House & Restaurant, a luxury Bed & Breakfast with a high standard of accommodation and comfort. "Trem Hyfryd" is a traditional Victorian building of Welsh granite with a modern extension including a superb function room, providing the perfect setting for all your holiday needs. It stands in beautiful extensive gardens with adequate parking for all our guests.
Situated in the splendour of the Snowdonia National Park, we are just 3 miles from the peak of Cader Idris and at the beginning of the magnificent Mawddach Estuary which flows into the sea at Barmouth, 8 miles away.
We are surrounded by wonderful scenery, everything you would wish of Wales, from rugged mountains, streams and waterfalls, bridges, lakes, harbours and rivers to Dolgellau's wonderful old buildings and narrow streets, and of course we are ideally situated for breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. You will find so much to see and do, if you are looking for an active holiday there is a nine hole golf course, fishing in abundance, horse riding or walking on some of the many famous paths. You may like to visit working gold and slate mines, ancient monuments and castles or the beautiful sandy beaches of Barmouth. If your passion is for bikes (motorised or pedal power) the routes are endless. At Trem Hyfryd we specialise in motorcycle tour packages which are incredibly popular. Tours are available to individuals and clubs. First Class Accommodation. High standards are combined with a welcoming and warm atmosphere.
There are two lounges, one with a bar area and a beautifully appointed restaurant dining room with friendly and helpful service. Our bedrooms are well furnished and modern and some are at ground floor level, comprising of three twin rooms, two triples with three individual single beds, and three double rooms, all of which are fully en suite. All have TV with in house video, tea and coffee making facilities, shaver points, hair dryers etc., they all have central heating and piping hot water and are fully serviced daily.
We serve first class cuisine prepared in our own kitchen which includes, for our residential guests, full English breakfast to your choice and, if required, a four course evening meal which is a mouth watering delight with traditional English and Welsh dishes. We are also open to non-residents for lunch and evening meals, with a varied and interesting menu which includes locally sourced foods. We also have a good selection of delicious vegetarian meals. And to drink, we have a fine selection of wines and Welsh Ales, as well as draught Carlsberg Extra, and Brains Bitter, which you can enjoy in one of our two comfortable lounges or bar area.
"Trem Hyfryd" meets all that is expected of a first class establishment. Our Fire Certificate ensures that the stringent statutory requirements of fire safety and precautions are met. This also means that whilst smoking is not permitted inside, those who wish can do so in our pleasant gardens.
